For Alice, deciding to makeover her smile happened in an instant. “After looking at a photo of myself with my grandson and being completely unhappy with what I saw, I realized it was finally time to do something about my smile.”

Alice didn't feel comfortable letting her regular dentist completely change the look of her teeth. So, after a quick online search and reading a lot of reviews, she chose to visit Smile Creations and consult with Dr. Mohr.

Her main complaints were that her front teeth were noticeably crooked, and they also weren’t as white as she would have liked. Many other cosmetic dentists would have tried to handle both issues at the same time by placing veneers on the teeth. While this might sound simple, it would have required Dr. Mohr to remove quite a bit of healthy enamel, which would ultimately make the teeth weaker and more sensitive.

As part of Dr. Mohr’s training through the Spear Academy in Scottsdale, AZ, he was taught that preserving tooth structure and putting them in the right positions before enhancing them was the most effective approach. That’s why he initially referred Alice to a member of his dream team, a local orthodontist, so she could undergo Invisalign.

Once her teeth were straight, Dr. Mohr was able to give her a complete set of custom-made veneers. One concern Alice had was that she didn’t want her teeth to look fake. Thankfully, Dr. Mohr uses the highest quality materials, so Alice’s veneers are slightly translucent just like real enamel, giving her a greatly improved, but still natural, appearance.
